This
season's only project to break ground
in Naples celebrated by the building
industry.
NAPLES, FL – More than 250 people
gathered to celebrate the official groundbreaking
of Aqua at Pelican Isle Yacht Club on January
24th, in a ceremony which included a champagne
toast by area building and real estate
industry professionals. Aqua is the only
Naples condominium community commencing
construction as scheduled this quarter,
as other projects have been postponed due
to lack of sales. Approximately half
of the residences in Aqua's north
tower are sold, and The Bentley Sales Group
expects strengthening sales trends in 2007.
Ed Oelschlaeger, President of Aqua's
development company, EcoGroup, Inc., started.
"Aqua is a prime example that the local
luxury real estate market is warming up."
"Because of Aqua's spectacular
design, yacht harbor location and resort
style amenities, it continues to draw a
lot of interest. Now
that we are under construction, I expect
sales to continue at a steady pace."
Aqua's celebration was more than
a typical groundbreaking ceremony, as event
guests were given a sneak preview of how
the luxury residences would be outfitted.
Representatives from Snaidero Cabinets,
Waterworks Plumbing fixtures, SUBZERO/Wolfe
appliances and Galati Yacht Sales were
on site to show off their contributions
to the upscale residences, which will include
gourmet kitchens, grand master suites and
sophisticated designs with breathtaking
views of the Gulf of Mexico. A scale
model of the community was also moved onto
the construction site to give a more dramatic
view of the new addition to the Naples
waterfront.
