Activities Begin At Aqua
By Naples Daily News
Developers of the luxury condominium community, Aqua at Pelican Isle Yacht Club, have begun on-site construction activities.
Test piles are being driven to ensure that weight requirements are met for the foundation, a common practice in tower construction.
The community will be built by Boran Craig Barber Engel Construction Company Inc. Construction of the residential and recreational structures is scheduled to begin this summer as well as the new sea wall and marina.
Construction activities for Aqua have been on hold until the eaglet which hatched in nest CO 19 had successfully fledged the nest.
In September, Aqua's development company, EcoGroup Inc., held a mandatory session during which a trainer from the Audubon Society instructed construction team members on how responsible construction methods can safely coincide with eagles.
The site has been monitored since October by the environmental construction firm of Passarella and Associates, which recently reported that the lone eaglet had successfully fledged from the nest in late March.
Home sales have reached more than $75 million to date. This number represents reservations on more than half of Aqua's north tower residences since the community's official release in February.
The Bentley Sales Group is handling sales for the community which is being developed by EcoGroup Inc.
