You may have noticed a new building gracing the downtown skyline this weekend. The Plaza Harbour Island lit up the sky, celebrating its opening.
On Wednesday, September 26, Patrinely Group unveiled The Plaza Harbour Island at an exquisite preview reception. More than 600 guests, an unprecedented number in recent history, gathered to celebrate and preview the new development at 450 Knights Run Ave., Harbour Island. Guests' expectations were exceeded as the reception showcased The Plaza as the most luxurious residence in downtown Tampa. And, as one of the last residential developments on Harbour Island, more than 80 percent of the residences at The Plaza have been sold.
Following the event, The Plaza continued to light up the downtown skyline through the weekend, with specialty spotlights to showcase the exquisite architectural style, which was designed by world-renowned architecture firm Nichols Brosch Wurst Wolfe & Associates, Inc., out of Miami. The interiors of the building, equally as exquisite, were designed by The Howard Design Group, also out of Miami.
The theme of the reception was sophisticated living and spectacular views, reflecting the lifestyle experience of The Plaza. Upon entering the lobby, guests were greeted with classical guitar music and champagne. On the fourth floor amenity level, cocktails and hors d'oeuvres were presented throughout the Residents' Lounge and outdoor Palm Court, giving guests an opportunity to sample the taste of luxury living offered by The Plaza. Outside, a live jazz band surrounded the grill area, where Mise en Place created special food presentations and wine pairings, as well as the nearby pool area, where guests enjoyed cool cocktails amid intimate cabanas. A collection of art presented by Michael Murphy Gallery was also on display in the Club Room, along with a specialty martini bar and live piano music. As the sun set, The Plaza lit up the downtown skyline, along with the views of downtown Tampa, which guests were also able to enjoy during tours of the Sky Residences.
"The Plaza Harbour Island offers a lifestyle different than any other in downtown Tampa and we wanted to give our guests an opportunity to see what that lifestyle is all about," said Len O'Donnell, principal with the developer, Patrinely Group. "We are delighted with the overwhelming response we have received and look forward to the grand opening of The Plaza Harbour Island."
The Plaza Harbour Island is a 20-story condominium tower featuring Mediterranean-style architecture. Its 114 residences, including seven town homes and 17 casitas, range from 1,400-4,300 square feet. Prices for the one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom residences range from just under $500,000 to more than $3 million.
The Plaza's amenities will include a spa treatment room and dry sauna, state-of-the-art fitness center and club room on the Plaza's fourth-floor "amenity level." This level also features a private lounge for entertaining, a business and media center, and private guest suites. Residents will also enjoy the Palm Court, an expansive and well landscaped pool terrace with cabanas, gardens and lawns, and an outdoor pavilion with a cooking grill. A valet will greet every resident and guest, while a concierge will offer an array of services.
